Bo Bridgeport Brokers Merges With Prudential Georgia Realty

Atlanta, GA-May 6, 2010-Prudential Georgia Realty, the company Trendgraphix says achieved the highest gains in year-to-year market share for unit sales, sales volume, listing inventory, buyers and listing sales of any large brokerage in metro Atlanta for the 2010 first quarter, continues to expand its presence inside the Atlanta perimeter. Prudential Georgia Realty's Midtown branch, located near the High Museum, has recently completed a merger with Bo Bridgeport Brokers, a 40-agent boutique real estate agency.

Bo Bridgeport Brokers, owned by Benita Carswell and Janie Gray, officially became part of Prudential Georgia Realty at the end of April. Their agency is located in the Kirkwood area of Atlanta at 2033 Hosea L. Williams Drive. The Bo Bridgeport Kirkwood office will operate as a satellite office and will be supported by the Prudential Midtown office staff and Managing Broker Dale Modica.

"We are so pleased to have an established intown real estate firm like Bo Bridgeport Brokers see the value of affiliating with a recognized franchise name like Prudential," said Dale Modica. "I've known Benita and Janie for several years and they and the other agents are a welcome addition to our expanding Prudential Midtown team."

Bo Bridgeport Brokers was formed in 1997 and has a reputation for real estate sales, renovating historic homes and marketing new home communities in numerous Atlanta neighborhoods, including Grant Park, Kirkwood, Oakhurst, East Lake, Edgewood and Candler Park.

With regard to deciding to merge her independent brokerage with a large company, Benita Carswell said, "As a small company, we could never maintain an entire training department and keep up with all the developing technologies. Prudential Georgia Realty is extremely strong on both fronts and we're thrilled to be part of this growing company."

Carswell and Gray were impressed by all the technology, Internet resources, new homes division, relocation and support that Prudential Georgia Realty offered its agents and real estate clients. They also recognized the resources and commitment Prudential has put into the intown market in recent years, including the opening of a Buckhead location on Peachtree Road in recent weeks.

"In the last 12 years, multiple companies have approached us about a merger, but it was never the right fit until now," explained Janie Gray. "We can't say enough about Prudential and are 150 percent on board. We're trying to change with the times to help our agents do better and make more money. At Prudential, they will have all the tools to do just that."
